Bill's Sailfish Marina
The Man and His Marina

1966-1970

More and more captains and boat owners were asking to be next in line for one of the four slips if they ever became available. Dad investigated building a 150' concrete dock to accommodate more charter boats. Charter boats rather than private boats because they would use more gas, bait, ice and other supplies. Dad was above all a businessman. He wanted a "working marina", not a passive marina. He obtained financing, again from the Warners. And so, work began.
Cleary Brothers started construction in 1966.
